Anita’s experience as a special educator made the transition to financial planning a natural one. With a degree in Psychology from UCLA and a Masters in Education from USC, she spent eight years teaching educationally handicapped children at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute. When she became interested in investing, she was offered a position with Gainsborough Financial Consultants, Inc. (GFC), an independent investment advisory firm that specialized in financial planning.
Intrigued by GFC’s client-centered approach, she became a financial planner, later becoming its President and Chief Compliance Officer. When GFC merged with Cooper McManus in 2010, Anita was thrilled to migrate her clients to another established wealth management firm that was equally committed to the financial planning philosophy.
Professionally, Anita’s greatest satisfaction comes from the opportunity to allay clients’ money anxiety by teaching them how to make prudent financial decisions. As the daughter of two WWII veterans and sister to a special needs person, she is particularly passionate about supporting our troops, Special Olympics of Southern California and Alzheimer’s Association. Anita and her husband Richard live in Yorba Linda where they raised two wonderful daughters, Chelsea and Caitlin, and love spending time with Abbey, their adorable yellow lab and her best friend Shadow, their beloved German Shepherd rescue.
